WHO ARE THE PIPPINS?

The Yakima Valley Pippins play in the West Coast League, summer collegiate baseball in one of the best small ballparks in the Pacific Northwest.

ARE THEY MINOR LEAGUE?

Pippins are undrafted college players that have at least one year of eligibility left in their college playing careers. Some of them are just out of high school. Some have a year or two of experience in college baseball. Some get drafted during the WCL season! As the MLB draft takes place in July every year. The Pippins have a dozen players in affiliated (minor league baseball) and seven MLB players.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

There is abundant parking next to the stadium at the Yakima County Fairgrounds. Parking is free in 2026, courtesy of ____________

All bags and backpacks are subject to search upon entry. We want to keep our events safe and fun.

We pride ourselves in some authentic Yakima bites and classic ballpark delights. There’s something for everyone and a few surprises, too.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES? VEGAN OPTIONS?

You betcha. We’ve got Tofurky dogs and gluten free buns on request.

We have a peanut free zone in section DD.

DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?

Yes. We serve beer, wine and cider to anyone ages 21+

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

You betcha! Every Wednesday dogs get in free! Other nights of the week it’s a $5 dog ticket with proceeds going to the Yakima Humane Society.

DOES MY KID NEED A TICKET?

Kids under 3 years old get in for free! And all Kids under 16 get in free every Sunday! (if they have a parent with them, of course. No unaccompanied minors, please!)

Can I bring a group? Maybe… get a discount?

Of course! Contact our ticket office to talk about your group and some special opportunities for you to create a special event for your people!

CAN I PAY WITH CASH?

Yes. All Major credit cards accepted as well.

CAN I BRING A GUN?

No. No weapons allowed at County Stadium, please.

CAN I BRING OUTSIde FOOD AND DRINK?

You can bring closed or empty water bottles. You can bring gum. If that counts as food, then yes. Otherwise please support local baseball by purchasing food and beverage at the stadium!

Who is the most famous pippin of all time?

It depends who you ask. We’d said Scott T. Pippin. Others might say Noah Williamson or Eli Morgan. If you disagree, please use our online suggestion box

can i get free tickets?

You can! Become a host family! Everyone in your home receives a season ticket and a lot of other great benefits!

can i get free tickets or other items for my school, charity, organization, cause, etc?

You can! See our DONATIONS page here and let us know what youve got going on!

Can I shoot photos or video?

Absolutely. If you’d like to gain more access just let us know who you are and what you’re up to. We’d love to accomodate you if you’re willing to share! We have paid media creators and interns, and limited space, but let’s connect and talk about your passion to create and serve the basebal community

Is the room for kids to play?

Yes.

Can I keep a foul ball?

Of course! It’s an incredible feeling to catch a ball or get one from a player. Feel free to keep it, share it with another fan and most importantly, feel free to give it to a kid! If you’ve got a sweet tooth you can exchange any game ball for a free box of candy at any concessions stand. This helps us keep our cost down a bit. Baseball’s ain’t cheap!

Are there playoffs?

Yes! Early August through Mid August. The first half winner and overall best records for each division (8 teams total) compete in three rounds of playoffs to win the WCL Championship. The opening series is best of 3, home and away. The South Division and WCL Championships are both one game only, winner take all!

Can my kid be a batboy/batgirl?

YES! Sign up here. Kids must be 10-14. Batkids get a free ticket and meal voucher. They need to wear white baseball pants, a white shirt and must wear a Pippins helmet at all times on the field.
