Yakima Valley Pippins Ownership Group Closes Deal on Historic Local Acquisition
Yakima, WA – October 30, 2025 – The new Pippins ownership group today announced the successful closing of the deal to acquire the club from Pacific Baseball Ventures LLC (PBV). This marks the first ownership change in the franchise’s 12-year history in the West Coast League—and the first time since 1941 with Shirley Parker’s original Yakima Pippins, that Yakima’s flagship baseball team is 100% locally owned.
“It’s a special privilege to carry forward Yakima’s incredible baseball legacy,” said Nick Jordan, of the new group. “We’re excited to gather the Valley on summer nights and build a team and experience that reflects the very best of our people and culture.”
The group is comprised of Nick and Sydney Jordan, Jamin and Kara Mohler, Rodney and Melissa Piñon, Scott and April Holt, Matt and Missa Uhlman, Michael and Allyson Uhlman, Brad and Marissa Durham, Brad Chandler, Uriel and Mayra Badillo, Joe and Katelin Rosenkranz, and Jordan and Anca Rowland.
“This group saw a one-of-a-kind opportunity to invest in the Valley. We want to create an experience that sparks excitement among fans and the community,” says co-owner Matt Uhlman, “something fans are proud to be a part of and eager to share.”
Season ticket packages go on sale November 1. Opening day at Yakima County Stadium is May 29 versus the Walla Walla Sweets.
